I’ve added some new stuff recently that I haven’t mentioned here in the blog so those only reading the feed may have missed it.

First is a new photo area complete with it’s own rss feed.

Next, on the sidebar, is my shared items from Google Reader. Just stuff I find interesting that you might too.

Last I just added links to my recipe folder in Evernote. So if you’re looking for new recipes or you know me and wonder how to make that thing I did, look there.

For some time now Iâ€™m devoted completely to Web Grid Design. First I built Emastic then Malo and now The Golden Grid.

Emastic is a very complete CSS Framework integrating various CSS construction techniques like floats, absolute positioning, complete freedom of your default width, extra usability with em based grid system plus possibility of fluid columns and extra % based grid system and many more features. Then the question is why build another grid system.

I was searching for the prefect web grid, playing with golden proportions, rule of thirds, symmetry, asymmetry, usability, monitor proportions, typography and the result came spontaneous – The Golden Grid. Why not share it with you .

I’ve been meaning to put a photo gallery up here forever. It’s not that Yahoo bought Flickr or anything. It’s just that I don’t see the point in putting my photos there when I have perfectly good space here. (No, I have never really gotten social networks- I guess if I weren’t anti-social

Yes I’ve redesigned again. Honestly, the last one lasted longer than I expected. I’m really liking this one though. I’ve learned a lot in the last 6 months.

I’ve had problems with URLs ever since I upgraded to version 2. From what I found on the WordPress Support Forum, it’s a problem with how the .htaccess file is being written and real folders under the blog in the hierarchy. Since I had this blog in the root folder and a private blog in a sub-folder, whenever I tried to access my private blog I would be re-directed to the main blog. The only way to access it was to delete the WordPress part of the .htaccess file but that would break the links on my main blog. I don’t know if this problem is restricted to Dreamhost customers or if that’s just the majority talking about it.

The only permanent solution I’ve come up with was to move the private blog to it’s own sub-domain. It’s a ridiculous thing for me to have to do and it was time-consuming but it was the only thing that worked. A note from one of the programmers that they’re aware of the problem on the offical blog would be nice. However, they are volunteers and I realize that they don’t have time for the extensive support you would expect from a commercial company.

I started hearing about this year’s CSS Reboot (when a bunch of websites unveil new designs on the same day) and realized I was bored with the last look of this site. I had a nice Fall themed design almost done but I just couldn’t face actually using it here. I started the purple and grey color scheme just because those were colors I liked but now it seems I can’t let go of them. I decided to switch the redesign to gold and greay with touches of purple and it was full-steam ahead.

So enjoy and watch out for sudden tweaks.
