A bad thing turns out to be a good idea?

A while ago, a joint effort from the cat and the dog managed to knock my beloved laptop off the table where it was recharging. The bottom left edge cracked open (a problem with that model I’ve learned) and it hasn’t been the same since because I couldn’t face going cold turkey for a couple weeks to have it fixed.

A couple of weeks ago, I popped it open one day and a piece of rubber popped out of the bottom of the screen. Thinking it was starting to fall apart, I did a bad, bad thing. Yes, I ordered a new one. I’m blaming Tanya’s influence.

I’ve been second-guessing myself eversince until Saturday, when the top line of the keyboard quit working. Now this is just weird. Also a pain, since that’s where they put the most-used keys. I was able to surf but I wound up reading and watching tv most of the weekend to avoid the frustration.

It almost seems that, Apple is making up for my frustration, because the new baby, due to be shipped Tuesday will instead be delivered today! yay!

Oh, and there was this discount thing so I got a new 20gig iPod. Anybody want to buy it from me?
