swfIR: swf Image Replacement
swfIR (swf Image Replacement) is here to solve some of the design limitations of the standard HTML image and its widely-accepted associated CSS values, while still supporting standards-based design concepts. Using the dark arts of JavaScript and Flash, swfIR gives you the ability to apply an assortment of visual effects to any or all images on your website. Through progressive enhancement, it looks through your page and can easily add some new flavor to standard image styling.
Two problems.
- I usually don’t need this enough on a single website to justify the added load
- flash block is my favorite extension. Most people don’t use it, true. But I don’t want to get annoyed going to my own websites

Firefox Tip
You accidentally typed liefehacker.com into Firefox’s address bar, and now it suggests that whenever you enter “li.” Remove mistyped URLs from the fox’s suggestions by selecting the entry in the list and hitting Shift-Delete. Works for fat-fingered usernames and other form entries, too. — Gina Trapani

Saturday
Went out to dinner and a bar with Tanya Saturday night. Dinner at Red Lobster was good. The funniest part was when a server came in through the front door carrying a couple of pizzas back to the kitchen.
The bar was … a bar. The music was so loud you couldn’t hear anything (I had to unclench my teeth), the smoke was thick (I’m allergic), and the tvs were tuned to sports channels. I was really bored.
