So pissed
I had no Internet all weekend. Naturally on the weekend I really needed it. I worked 7 days in a row. I get home, ready to login to wow and unwind, and no Internet.
AAARRRGGGG!!!!!!
I called the help line but the idiot heard I had a Mac and sent me to Apple. Didn’t even bother to check for outages in my area. I can connect at work. The website (now that I’m at work) is useless.

The difference a shirt makes

My druid.

My hunter.
Yes, I am one of the silly people who worry about what their characters wear. I just find it interesting that the same dress could look so different with 2 different colored shirts.

Boing Boing: Gamers are as good as bilinguals at solving mental problems
Gamers are as good as bilinguals at solving mental problems
Video gamers may have the same mental agility as bilingual people — an ability to swap out one task and bring another online quickly, which is useful in multitasking and is linked to lifelong mental acuity. A study at Toronto’s York University showed that gamers performed like bilinguals in hard mental tests, and that bilingual gamers were even better.

I love Wordpress but…
I’ve had problems with URLs ever since I upgraded to version 2. From what I found on the WordPress Support Forum, it’s a problem with how the .htaccess file is being written and real folders under the blog in the hierarchy. Since I had this blog in the root folder and a private blog in a sub-folder, whenever I tried to access my private blog I would be re-directed to the main blog. The only way to access it was to delete the Wordpress part of the .htaccess file but that would break the links on my main blog. I don’t know if this problem is restricted to Dreamhost customers or if that’s just the majority talking about it.
The only permanent solution I’ve come up with was to move the private blog to it’s own sub-domain. It’s a ridiculous thing for me to have to do and it was time-consuming but it was the only thing that worked. A note from one of the programmers that they’re aware of the problem on the offical blog would be nice. However, they are volunteers and I realize that they don’t have time for the extensive support you would expect from a commercial company.

TorPark
TorParkDownload TorPark for your language, and put it on a USB Flash keychain. Plug it into any internet terminal whether at home, school, or public. Run Torpark.exe and it will launch a Tor circuit connection, which creates an encrypted tunnel from your computer indirectly to a Tor exit computer, giving the appearance of having the Tor exit computer’s IP.
Secure and private browsing. Except TorPark can track you.
