MAKE: Blog: DIY ROXR - Sync iTunes to a TREO (and more)

This free software allows PalmOne Treo 650 & 600 smartphones, Sony-Ericsson’s Walkman phones, Nokia’s XpressMusic and Samsung MP3 phones (with hard keys to control playback) to be synchronized with iTunes.

Amazing idea, until I remember that my battery life is shit.

moo.fx - the next small thing

moo.fx - the next small thing

moo.fx is a superlightweight, ultratiny, megasmall javascript effects library, written with prototype.js.

It’s easy to use, fast, cross-browser, standards compliant, provides controls to modify Height, Width, and Opacity with builtin checks that won’t let a user break the effect with multiple crazy clicks. It’s also optimized to make you write the lesser code possible.

Random Thoughts

I feel gipped. We got a really nice extended Summer but now we’ve skipped Fall entirely for Winter. Couldn’t we have shortened Winter instead?

I got my desk!! (Pictures) It’s prettier than the one in the store. Strangely, it also seems bigger. The one in the store seemed small with all the bigger stuff around it. In my tiny dining room, mine seems huge. I’m debating on drilling a hole in the back for a power cord. I could put my laptop inside for charging.

I may have to severely limit my WoW time. I can’t seem to find a good balance between playing and RL.

2 Sentence Book Review

Incubus Dreams

Too much sex, not enough plot. Good character development thoough, and Richard’s finally pulling his head out of his ass.

I Met Dave’s Good Twin

You know Dave’s the evil one.

His name is David. He’s tall and thin. He has a long beard and he’s a computer geek. He also has some similar manerisms and the same laugh. We interviewed him at work for an open position.

Check it out

For those on Livejournal, I’ve got a new Halloween theme up. It could probably use a little more polishing but I may not get to that.

Blogthings - What Color Should Your Blog or Journal Be?

Your Blog Should Be Purple

You’re an expressive, offbeat blogger who tends to write about anything and everything.
You tend to set blogging trends, and you’re the most likely to write your own meme or survey.
You are a bit distant though. Your blog is all about you - not what anyone else has to say.
What Color Should Your Blog or Journal Be?

No, I didn’t cheat!

The RPG Class Test

Wizard
37% Combativeness, 33% Sneakiness, 88% Intellect, 47% Spirituality
Brilliant! You are a Wizard!

Wizards are spells-casters who study powerful arcane magic. While Wizards tend to be pretty fragile, some of those spells can pack quite a punch. Unlike Clerics, Wizards aren’t as good at fixing people as they are at breaking them, so watch where you toss that fireball…

Your most distinctive trait is your intelligence. You’re probably well learned and logical, if perhaps a bit fragile.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

The Empress Card
You are the Empress card. The Empress is the
archetype of the Mother. She creates and
nurtures life. She represents the abundance of
Mother Earth. The Empress is capable of using
nature in a productive way. She espouses art
for art’s sake. Her planet is Venus, and she
embodies love of beauty and a strong value
system. Here is also found initial sensation.
This is the first really physical experience of
the world that The Fool has entered. The
Empress has a rich understanding of the world
based on her five senses. In a reading, The
Empress represents pregnancy, actual or
metaphorical. She indicates an act of creation
and a sensual experience of beauty. The Empress
is a nurturing force that wishes to see the
