Book Reviews
The servers for World of Warcraft are down *pout* so you get stuck with the reviews of books I read before I got “the game” (so addicted).
- The Eyre Affair
- It took me a while to finish because I kept getting interrupted by the weird pacing. It was boring, then fast-moving, then boring again. Strange.
- Industrial Magic
- it’s the sequal to Dime-Store Magic. I wasn’t much impressed with the first one but it had an interesting base. The second is much better, working the universe into the plot. Might be good for Merry fans.
- The Fairy Godmother
- Great fantasy from a new prospective.
- Death in a White Tie
- Don’t know where this one came from. For those who know nothing of mysteries, Ngaio Marsh was one of the Grand Dames of the genre. I’ve never read her stuff before, just never got around to it. It was cool. I like the setting (1920’s?) but her characters weren’t as interesting as Agatha Christie’s. She’s going on my airplane reading list
