Dime-Store Magic
Interesting book. It’s actually the third in a series but that wasn’t a problem. I got the impression that the first two focused more on other characters. The plot is pretty conventional but what struck me is the idea of witches and sorcerers and separate races from humans. The concept isn’t very developed. Most of the characters act pretty human and I keep wondering why she doesn’t smack the girl she’s taking care of. I’ll probably read the next book to see how the character-developement progresses but right now it’s not a favorite.
