I’m following the cool kids to Wordpress.
Why be a lemming?
They’re cool because they contribute. When they have problems, they fix them and then tell the rest of us how to do the same. In the Wordpress community, I’ve found the energy and interest that I haven’t felt for Movable Type for a while.
Bottom Line: This site is my toy and I’m ready to try something new.
That’s why I’m not doing Expression Engine either. It’s fabulous but it is too much like MT, I’d be moving up instead of out. So, things are going to be out of whack for a while as I’m moving over. Not only am I changing systems, I’m integrating my Weblink Index and my blog into this space. I think shoving everything together will let me expand to broader topics.
This will leave me with two MT 2.6 blogs, one public and one private, and there they will stay until Wordpress comes with integrated multiblog support or a consumer version of MT 3.0 is released.
Hopefully, in time, I’ll have something to contribute too.
